Common name goldenrod Family asteraceae Life cycle perennial Flowers yellow Light sun Unknown species; small plant given as a gift by a visitor to a tour of our garden, with note that it grows to about 5' tall and does not run. We'll see what it does in our garden next year.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
