Ah, I like these! First time to try this year. The flowers are similar to coreopsis, golden with a chocolate center, while the leaves are very narrow, almost grassy. The photos here are our first impression, young plants in early June, when we gardened in Pennsylvania.
Later, having moved to Texas, I grew seeds from a society seed exchange labeled Thelesperma filifolium, but their coloration was consistent with this species (filifolium is all yellow), so I think they must have been mislabeled. They were nice in Texas too, but never gained much bulk, disappearing when summer's brutal heat arrived.
