Hybrid toad lily, with T. lasiocarpa parentage. The flowers are intricately built and patterned, with shades of purple, orange, red, and white blending with tropical flair. Ours is planted in a partly shaded area of our side garden, where it hides between bulkier plants in the early season. Some sources say it blooms in September, but so far it's early August in our garden. Of course I'd be happy if it continues blooming through September!
