Woodland wildflower of Eastern North America. Large white flowers in spring. Just a small plant for now; the photo at top right shows the just-emerged plant in late March, already getting to its business of blooming; the photo at top left was taken a year later in mid-April (spring arrived later that year). A few weeks after flowering starts, when the show is almost over, the white petals are streaked with pink as they fade.
