Native to rocky slopes around the Mediterranean. Pale-yellow dandelion-like flowers; petals have a burgundy stripe on the reverse, which is mainly visible in the bud stage. The irregularly lobed deep-green leaves have fine silver-grey hairs and are mostly limited to a basal clump. Hardiness unclear, but at least it flowers in its first year from an early-spring planting.
