As they open up, the flowers take on a moth-like appearance

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...

Seed-starting details for this plant

2003. Seed from '02 trade. Baggy 70F with light (no germination. a cold stage didn't help)
2004. Same seed as above. Sown to surface of pot, 70F (lots of seedlings, 9d)

Not sure why seed didn't germinate in '03.
