South American species. Not much information, so I don't yet know how it distinguishes itself from other Acaenas - or whether it will be hardy here, for that matter. I have just a single seedling, so wish me luck...|
Update: it died unceremoniously and with no apparent cause within a month of setting outside.
This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...
