Acaena sericea

Life cycle perennial

South American species. Not much information, so I don't yet know how it distinguishes itself from other Acaenas - or whether it will be hardy here, for that matter. I have just a single seedling, so wish me luck...
Update: it died unceremoniously and with no apparent cause within a month of setting outside.

This plant used to grow in our garden, but it slipped away...

  1. Seed from NARGS '08/'09 trade, cold-stored through summer. Baggy 70F (4w) -35F (7w; 4%G, 19d) - 70F (3w, no further G).
