Medium-sized maple tree with handsomely cut leaves that turn a brilliant shade of crimson in fall. Our seed-raised specimen is still young, but holds lots of promise.
|
| In 2008, 4 or 5 years after starting our tree from seed, it blooms for the first time - in the middle of May, quite a bit later than the other maples in our garden. By late May, the seeds are forming - pink-tinged propellors shaped a bit differently from most other maples.
