Alchemilla alpina

Alchemilla alpina

Common name alpine lady's mantle
Family rosaceae
Life cycle perennial (Z3-7)
Flowers yellow-green (spring-early summer)
Size 6-12"
Light sun-part shade
Cultural notes ordinary garden soil (not too dry)

This lady's mantle looks different from several others growing in our garden - the leaves have a different shape, and feature silvery-white margins. The flowers aren't much to look at, but I'll let them go to seed at least once, in hope of being rewarded by some offspring. Our plant has a nice semi-shaded spot at the edge of our rock garden.

In our garden, this plant grows in the following area: rock garden
