Bowlesia incana

Bowlesia incana

Common name hoary bowlesia
Family apiaceae
Life cycle annual
Flowers maroon (spring)

I haven't had much chance to observe this wildflower – just found a patch of its cutely shaped small leaves peeking up through our lawn. Its insignificant flowers apparently occur in early spring. Native to the southern US.

This is a weed in our garden
