The carrot family, formerly known as umbelliferae, features plants with flowers in clusters called umbels. It is home to common vegetables and herbs (carrot, dill, fennel), wildflowers (Queen Anne's lace), and garden flowers (eryngium). I use the GRIN online query system to determine plant families.
