Flat-topped clusters of yellow flowers in late spring. They aren't real showy, but work quite nicely in between other plants - such as the cranesbill in the picture above. U.S. native wildflower, serving as a host plant for some butterfly species.

Sometimes, some creature takes a little nibble, but it bounces right back. I have it underplanted winterberry. |
