Calamintha grandiflora 'Variegata'

Calamintha grandiflora 'Variegata'

Common name variegated calamint, wild basil
Family lamiaceae
Life cycle perennial (Z4-9)
Flowers pink (summer)
Size 12-18"
Light part shade
Cultural notes average garden soil

Leaves are pale green with white marbling, with pink flowers on flowering stems that rise just above the clump of foliage. Has a tendency to revert to all-green, so remove stems that don't show the variegation.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
