Common name white-flowered poppy mallow Family malvaceae Life cycle perennial (Z4-9) Flowers white (June) Light sun The traded seed was labeled Callirhoe involucrata var. lineariloba 'Logan Calhoun', but web references place the species at C. alcaeoides. Either way, it's got white flowers and frilly leaves - a bit of a departure from their winecups relatives. Hopefully, they'll settle into our garden just as nicely.

Seed-starting details for this plant

2005. Seed for C. i. var. lineariloba 'Logan Calhoun' from '04/'05 HPS/MAG exchange. Dehusked some seed, left others as is. Baggy 70F (70d; 44%G, 7-60d). Each round of nicking/scarification brought about some additional germination. Weak as seedlings, low survival rate.
