Out of several attempts to establish this species in our garden (I'm a sucker for sea hollies), the plant in the photo is the only one to survive into a second season. So far, it's more than worth it - striking patterning on the leaves, which have a healthy gloss. Just a couple weeks after the first photo, the flowering stalk has shot up, and the plant looks positively fierce! Unfortunately, it expired after this flowering performance. I'm eager to re-establish this in our garden some day.
