The main attraction of this grass is the fuzzy-pinkness of its flowers in early summer. A few years into its tenure in our garden, this is shaping up to be a worthy addition to our repertoire of ornamental grasses. Its blooms start in mid-June, and reach their full effectiveness about a month later.

After the winter they did not look like they made it until a bit of the green grass started to grow. However, I thought it was crab grass until the pink fuzzy flowers came on. Still they are not tall but low to the ground and still don't look like what I purchased last fall. But I am patient and will let them grow to see if they make it. |
