Low-growing tufted plant with evergreen blue-green leaves. Bottlebrush-like white flowers appear in summer on low branched spikes. Native to rocky areas in the mountains of the U.S. interior west.

Light may be helpful. Seedling development is interesting, with flat leaves emerging before the roots do.
