Common name pickerel rush; pickerelweed Family pontederiaceae Life cycle perennial Flowers blue Size 1-4' Cultural notes marginal aquatic Commonly used marginal pond or bog plant. It appears on the invasives list for several US states, but is not considered a noxious weed in Pennsylvania - it's certainly not an invasive exotic, since it's native to the US. It won't escape our little aquatic ecosystem.
