Climber known for its disease resistance. We don't do very well with roses, so we're hoping this will be as problem-free as its reputation suggests. Blooms come from late spring through the end of the season.
We got ours in early November, already past its seasonal prime but still blooming, as the photo here shows. Hopefully it will conquer the arbor next year.

Visitors to this page have left the following comments| Deborah | Oct 10, 2011 | I garden in zone 4/5, and have had great success with the roses in the Canadian Explorer series, especially Therese Bugnet, which I recommend highly. It flowers heavily in early summer, and has sporatic repeat blooming. No disease or tantrums of any kind. Another rose that is beautiful in all seasons is the glaucus rose. It has blue-green leaves that are always clean looking, simple little candy pink flowers, and huge orange rose hips in the fall. Gorgeous plant, and I have never seen a Japanese beetle on it. |
