Hybrid between R. chinensis and R. multiflora. Despite its parentage, this one isn't on any invasive lists. Ours is of unnamed heritage. I was pleasantly surprised to see it bloom a couple months after germinating, still under the basement growlights, and it has been a reliable shrub rose ever since. For years it stayed somewhat small, but one year it just zoomed up, and is now a worthy contributor to the fenceline plantings in our back yard. We like to share our roses with the neighbors!

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston. About my plant portraits
