Shrubby evergreen hybrid salvia (S. greggii x S. lycoides) similar in appearance to its first parent, but with smaller leaves, violet bordering on true blue flowers, and perhaps less cold-hardiness. It should be OK through most Houston winters, though. Listed by some sources as a cultivar of S. greggii.
