Clumping grass native to the U.S. prairies. Although characterized as a warm-season grass, it greens up early in spring. We've had it in the garden for a few years, but I'm still trying to find the best placement and treatment - our plants have stayed rather small the first few years, but are finally starting to claim some more space to do their fountain impression.
