Common name ornamental sage Family lamiaceae Life cycle tender perennial (Z9-11) Flowers purple (spring-fall) Size 3-4' Light sun-part shade Another hybrid ornamental sage, in roughly the same corner as 'Wendy's Wish' – with dark green gently serrated leaves and dark magenta flowers in plum calyces. Ours didn't grow nearly as exuberantly as 'Wendy's Wish', but by end of season it finally started coming into its own.

Grown into a substantial plant by spring of its third year...

Small piece arises in late March from the rubble left by the Feb '21 megafreeze
