Our lowest-growing skullcap, forming neat mats of gently scalloped mid-green leaves. Even some of the flowering stems are lax and floppy, although they do go mostly upright when they get enough direct sunlight. The magenta flowers are held along one side of the stem.

We left this plant behind in our Pennsylvania garden (and wish it well); we don't grow it in Houston.
